What is Counselling?

Counselling can offer a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. These can be related to both past and present life experiences. Often we feel stuck or feel limited in our own personal power to move forward and implement changes. Repeating the same patterns of behaviour that no longer serve us can feel limiting and tiring. We struggle to make senses of ourselves, relationships or situations we are in whilst coping with the demands of everyday life. Counselling can offer you time and space to gain clarity enabling you to take the time you need to build your resilience and confidence.

To enable you to feel comfortable in finding the real you, I as your counsellor aim to provide a safe and confidential space. This can provide a suitable setting to take the time to explore and reflect upon feelings you have previously ignored.

Humanistic / Integrative Counselling makes use of a mix of approaches. Each client is very unique with varying needs, therefore no one approach is suitable for everyone. As your counsellor, I will work with you to understand what is going on internally as well as the affect of outside influences. This allows your counselling sessions to treat you as a whole person made up of mind, body and spirit.

As a humanistic / integrative counsellor, I am here to listen and to build upon the quality of the therapeutic relationship between us. Within this framework I will listen with empathy and non judgement. This ensures we are working from your frame of reference during each session. Our work together will focus on your thoughts, feelings and senses.

    Is life busy balancing work and home life?

    On line therapy offers an alternative to face to face counselling in your own private space. On line appointments can offer a greater degree of flexibility and reduce the time you need to spend travelling to and from appointments. In order to work safely on line please ensure you have a good quality internet connection. The privacy and confidentiality of your session is very important so please ensure you are able to access a safe space where you will not get disturbed or interrupted.

    Are you feeling uninspired or stuck by feelings of self doubt ? Are your thought patterns holding you back from evolving or moving forward?
    Coaching sessions can help to promote a growth mindset enabling you to achieve more. Sessions offer the time to look at and consider new ways of thinking. Sessions can also offer motivational support and encouragement when you need it the most. Coaching focusses on moving you forward whilst promoting your own self development and confidence. As your coach I will take a directive approach and work with you to understand what your goals and drivers are. Each client is unique and I can offer bespoke coaching which will both empower , motivate and move you towards achieving more.

    Coaching For Runners

    Coaching sessions can be booked specifically to improve and increase your running potential. Working together we can look at every aspect of your running journey. Whether you have just started out or have been running for some time we can look at working together towards your current goal. Coaching sessions can include advice on injury prevention , flexibility , core training and footwear.
